Justice for Agency Workers ‘Euro-trashed’ Campaign

Following on from Paul Farrelly's Private Members Bill that fell due to insufficient parliamentary time, a new EDM has now been sponsored.

It is now important that the pressure and impetus that has been achieved so far through Paul Farrelly's Private Members Bill is maintained, and all members should urge their MP's to sign the EDM.

The new Equal Treatment for Agency Workers EDM No 1299 congratulates the trade union campaigns to highlight the unfair treatment of agency workers and urges the Department of Trade and Industry to take account of evidence of deep-seated discrimination of vulnerable workers and calls on the Government to introduce domestic legislation as soon as possible to address the issue to improve the lives of hard-working families and tackle the causes of child poverty.
