CWU Youth Conference 2008

The CWU Youth Conference will be held on Wednesday 27 February 2008, at CWU Headquarters.

Motions

Each Region will be entitled to submit two motions to the Conference Agenda. The closing date for submission of motions will be 26 January 2007. Two motions will then be selected by each Region for submission to the agenda. If you wish to submit wording for a motion, please contact the Branch office. The Youth Conference has the entitlement under the rules of the union to submit two motions to stand in the name of the conference to General Conference. A ballot to select the two motions will be held at the Conference.

Delegates

Each region is entitled to send four voting delegates. Delegates should be under the age of 30 as of 13 June 2008.

Observers

There will be the potential for 25 Observers to attend the conference, this number includes any Regional or Branch Secretaries who may wish to be present. Places will be allocated on a first come, first served basis taking into account regional representation. All observers should ensure they have their membership card with them in order to gain access to the Conference.

Election of Delegates to General Conference

The Youth Conference will select two delegates to represent the Youth Members to attend General Conference 2008. The ballot to select these two delegates will be conducted during Conference.

Please would any young members (under 30 on 13 June 2008) who maybe interested in attending the Conference please contact the Branch Office no later than 28 January 2008.
