Click on Tools on the menu bar, then select "Accounts..." or "Email Accounts..." from the drop down menu. The menu will vary depending on the version of Outlook or Outlook Express you are using.

On the "Internet Accounts" window click on the account you want to check or change to select it, then click on the "Properties" button.

In the "Properties" window that opens, under the "General" tab, enter or check your personal details.

The "Mail Account" can be any description you want so that you will recognise what the account is.

The "User Information" will be used in your emails to show who your email is from, so make sure the details are accurate.

Do not type anything in the "Reply address".

Click on the "Apply" button.

Click on the "Servers" tab and enter / check the "Incoming mail (POP3)" and "Outgoing mail (SMTP)" details exactly as shown.

Enter you own full email address in the "Account name" field.

Enter your password in the "Password" field. The password will appear as asterisks **** so it can not be seen.

Next tick the box for "My server requires authentication" and click on the "Settings" button.

In the "Outgoing Mail Server" window that opens make sure "Use same settings as my incoming mail server" is selected. Then click on the "OK" button.
