Union Representation – Branch Policy

There has been an increasing number of non-members requesting assistance from the Union.

This branch will not give advice to non-members or represent them at discipline, grievance, poor attendance, or any other meetings or hearings.

If you are a new member, and the incident occurred before joining, again we will not represent you, but may give you basic advice. After all, you cannot insure your car retrospectively after you have had an accident.

We are taking this principled stance as our primary function and duty must be to those existing members who are paying for CWU services.

You can of course prevent this from happening if you Join the Union today. We offer an excellent service and pride ourselves on providing the very best protection in case of a multitude of workplace issues.
