Health, Safety and EnvironmentNational Men's Health Week 200829 February 2008 ![]()
The Men's Health Forum is organising National Men's Health Week 2008, continuing the campaign against the fact that too many men suffer unnecessarily poor health and die too young from preventable causes. National Men's Health Week will this year take place 9 -15 June 2008. The Men's Health Forum's mission is to provide an independent and authoritative voice for male health and to tackle the issues affecting the health and well-being of boys and men in England and Wales. CWU HQ are affiliated supporters of the Men's Health Forum (MHF) and have been working with the organisation for the last three years. CWU input has contributed towards this years theme "Focusing on Men's Health in the Workplace" and the MHF will be present at the CWU 2008 conference. The Health and Safety Executive are also supporting this year's theme. The aim is to improve the health of men by encouraging them to take advantage of occupational health initiatives available in their workplaces and by helping employers strengthen and expand such initiatives. This will result in boosts to workplace morale and a decrease in sickness absence, both of which are invaluable to employers and employees alike. More information
