BT Safety Hazards and Warnings (SHaW)

As you my be aware, the CWU has been pushing for some time for a system that would provide Openreach and other BT Engineers with the details of all known hazards and warnings with the job details for all locations/premises they are about to visit.

BT is now committed to a £1.8 million project for completion in March 2009. A development team is being set up that will include representatives from both the CWU and Connect.

The system will be electronic either via Work Manager or for inclusion in job packs by planners/work originators. The project will be fully NEJ compliant. The final version will allow engineers to update current and new hazards to all relevant source systems such as CSS or Artisan.
