BT Pay 2007: Result of Ballot

The result of the consultative ballot of CWU members on the BT Pay offer is as follows:

  • Accepting the pay offer - 81% of votes cast
  • Rejecting the pay offer - 19% of votes cast

The offer from BT provides for:

  • a 4.7% increase in basic pay and pay related allowances (London Weighting to increase by 75% of the base pay increase) with effect from 1 April 2007,
  • an increase in base pay and pay related allowances of RPI plus 0.5% (London Weighting to increase by 75% of the base pay increase with effect from 1 April 2008.

The CWU has confirmed acceptance of the pay offer. The increase which is backdated to 1 April 2007 will be implemented in May salaries.
