BT Payphones and Redcare Integration

On 28 April 2008, Chet Patel (CEO, BT Redcare and BT Payphones) issued a briefing announcing changes affecting Payphones and Redcare. A presentation is being arranged so that the Executive team can better understand the degree of impact on members in these units.

According to the announcement the integration of Payphones and Redcare creates a strong base for continued success with a strong focus on customer satisfaction, particularly right first time and on profit maximisation. The intention is to create three business units and two support units. The business units will be:

  • Payphones - comprising public, private and managed payphones;
  • Redcare – comprising Fire and Security and CCTV;
  • Solutions – aimed at growing security solutions revenue.

The support units will be:

  • Operations – comprising Network and Platform Management, all Systems and Technical services and Customer services;
  • Field Support – this brings together the field teams from Payphones and Redcare into one unit.

We will publish more information as soon as it is available.
